Creating the future: the Law Society in MB1012

2013-09-09 12.37.54I was delighted to see a tweet from the Law Society last week showing their use of one of our seminar rooms, MB1012, for a committee meeting. The Society’s members were making great use of the space to self-organise and think productively in small groups. This is exactly what we hoped for when we designed these spaces.

I asked Jack Maddock, Vice-President of the Society, whether he’d mind us sharing this great example of Student as Producer in action, and the Society provided the following release and photos.

The University of Lincoln’s Law Society held its first committee meeting within MB1012 on Monday 9 September. The room’s ample lighting, innovative seating and accessible resources all contributed towards a very successful initial session.

Vice-President of the Law Society, Jack Maddock said: “The room couldn’t have suited our purposes better. It was well lit and had plenty of space which allowed us to arrange the seating and layout however we needed.

“The whiteboards promoted open thinking and made it easy to share different committee members’ thoughts and ideas with the rest of the room.”
