7 August: The site is accelerating now with the finishing touches to painting and decorating taking priority:
A fascinating aspect to today’s visit was learning about a piece of equipment the builders use to ensure the ceilings are perfectly straight. The image below shows the electrical unit used to sweep an LED display across the whole room in less than a second. Very cool.
29 July: A huge amount of work to covert the fourth floor has taken place with all the walls now in place.
Much of the work has been to add the first layers of paint, electric supply and ceiling units. These spaces are some of the academic office units. As you can see, the floor benefits from plenty of natural light.:
The corridors have most of the ceiling mounts in place now, with the area remaining open until all the ventilation units and service pipes have been fitted.
The seminar space looks very inviting, again the work to complete the initial stages of finishing is the order of the day:
29 June: The new Animation suites are already taking shape now, with the majority of the work to build corridors and new rooms complete.

The building images will be placed on this page weekly as the works progress. The images below show the early stages of the building works. Dividing walls for seminar space and office space have already begun to be built:
