We’re building new teaching and learning environments for our student nurses this summer in the Think Tank, to accommodate the expansion of our Nursing programmes.
We will be creating a new primary care training space (pictured below) to simulate general practice nursing, and a new secondary care training space to simulate various aspects of hospital-based nursing. The new primacy care environment will include a dispensary environment to facilitate interdisciplinary training for School of Pharmacy students as well.
Upstairs, we will be adding new tutorial pods to facilitate one-to-one conversations between students and academic staff, and providing more office space to accommodate expanded staff numbers.
Construction work will start on Monday 1 July and finish on 30 August 2013.
The project team includes:
The new environments are closely modelled on the successful primary and secondary care training facilities we opened in September 2012 (pictured below).
