While we’re busy delivering this summer’s campus improvement projects, we’re also planning ahead.

We have simplified our project initiation process to make it easier for new projects to be started, and to make our handling of new project requests quicker, more thorough and more transparent.

Here’s a summary of the changes:

1. We have revised our Projects page on the University Portal. The page now contains a simple three-step guide to requesting a new project; a table showing all of the project initiation forms which are currently in review; and a second table showing all of the projects which are currently underway.
2. We have simplified our project initiation form, with fewer fields and clearer guidance for requestors.
3. We have introduced a new project initiation flowchart to clarify the steps and roles during the project initiation process.

We think these changes will make it quicker and easier to get new projects started. If you have an idea for improving the campus and you’re not sure whether it should be a project, please email us or leave a comment below.
